Dead spots on a Corvette?

At a Jam last night a Fender Jazz player felt he had to point out that there was a dead spot on the neck of my Corvette.
I've checked acoustically and found nothing.
I've checked thro the practice amp and found nothing.
I can only draw the following conclusions:
1. My hearing is going and I can't hear S*** anymore
2. The room/am at the Jam venue has a problem
3. The Fender Jazz player is confused/deaf/jealous/stuid (delete as applicable)

Anyone else have any problems with dead spots on a Corvette?

Sounds like the only dead spot is the one between the Fender players ears!!!

If you didnt hear it then i dont think there is a dead spot, none knows your bass better than you. you will know if your fender playing friend was just jealous when he shows up with his new warwick that he just bought.

If you can't hear it I would disregard. These Fender guys seem to think if it's not a Fender there has to be something wrong w/ it. That's just probably all he could come up w/ :x

LMAO - probably only the room acoustics and that changes when you fill the room with people etc. Don't worry.

All basses have dead spots.
On some basses is more audible, on other is less, but to some degree all basses have them.

Definitely the comfiest 4 string neck I've ever played. As far as the dead spots, my Fender has one on the 6th fret G-string, but unless you want to hear it, it's not noticeable. I don't really know why anyone would want to play an overly sustained C# up there anyway!

Mr. Rabble is right on the money anyway.
