It goes hand in hand. Yes, Trujillo has become super famous and known around the world as the guy who replaced Newstead.

But...

He may look like he's about to crap, every time he plays his bass, he is a decent player. And Rob has been in many other great bands previous past. Yeah, he was in Ozzy, but he shined in Suicidal Tendencies. That was an awesome and amazing band.

I will say that there are Metallica fanboys that will overrate him, but what crazed, super fan doesn't?

Trujillo would still have probably gotten a Signature Series, if we wasn't in Metallica, but it would be a more limited bass to grab like the Pnut Series, around 50 or less.

Has Adam Clayton? I don't see what anyone sees in that guy, but other than he is in U2 (which is a band I detest, but not mention), I see him about equal to Trujillo except being in all of U2's catalogs and Trujillo being in one of Metallica's.

But that's my opinion on him and Clayton. U2 and Metallica are huge bands and they get free passes and stuff from all musical companies, because some people want what they have and that some is bigger than 311, TM Stevens, and alot of the other guys endorsed by Warwick right now. Which is unfortunate, seeing how the others have been full time supporters since most or all of their careers.

Robert Trujillo not worthy of a mention? Have you even seen the people he beat out to become the bass player for Metallica? Let alone ever listened to Suicidal Tendencies or Infectious Grooves!? Mind you Trujillo has played the greatest basses in the world, Tobias, Spector, and Zon, yet he now supports only one brand, that brand is Warwick!

If Hetfield, Ulrich, and Hammett dig the guy, I'm pretty sure he's a bad ass bass player. After all, they've done a hell of a lot more than anyone else here.

Don't take this as an attack man, because its not. I just suggest you educate yourself on the man.

Ok,now you're a new member here, so I'll let you get away with this post, but this is your first & last warning.
If you wish to remain a member of our forum, you will have to keep a lid on this sort of behaviour.
I dont care what your opinion is, if you cant express it in a respectful & non offensive manner, your account will be closed, & you will be banned.
I normally dont do this publicly. In fact, I dont normally do this period. But seeing as you have not once, but twice acted in a completely unnaceptable way in public, then that's where I'll respond.
The rules are pretty simple here. If you cant be diplomatic & mature in your critisism of anyone, then dont post.
This is not because you're remarks are offensive to endorsers, but are offensive in general. You would get the exact same reaction from me if you were talking about anyone.
There's a way of making your negative opinions acceptable & unoffensive to not only your fellow members, but to those people who are the subject of your scathing remarks. I suggest you look into those ways, think about wheather this is the right forum for someone of your nature, & decide if you indeed have a future of being an active member here.
 
Guys, most of you know me pretty well by now. I dont go off half cocked, or without good reason.
What started out as a good discussion, very quickly deteriorated, because of one single, unnapropriate post. Let's try not to address that here, in a public thread. If you wish to debate this, with anyone, please, do it via PM. What you say amongst yourselves via PM, is your bussiness. Provided it doesnt involve anything illegal, or against the terms of service, it's completely fine.
I very much enjoy being a member here, & always have. That is all down to you, my fellow members. You're all really a great bunch, & I've made some awesome friends here. Friends that have offered to sell gear, to help me, financially(you know who you are, Luke Eberbach). Can you imagine? That, speaks absolute volumes about the cameraderie we have going on here.
Let's just treat this like an oversize speed bump. It made a loud noise, made alot of us say, "wtf was that?" & vow to get our alignment checked at the next tune up.

You know, those things that prevent cars driving too fast in back streets? But actually do nothing to improve safety, & only increase fuel consumption,tyre,brake & suspension wear & tear, increased noise, challenge SUV & 4WD owners to drive even faster in the very streets that benefit from slower traffic.
Sorry to bang on Tyler, but it's a federal election this Saturday, & I'm overly inflated on political debate.

Truillo is someone I first listened to in the very early nineties. I might have been listening to Suicidal Tendencies and then heard him on Infectious Grooves. I am not a huge Metallica fan nor have I listened to Suicidal Tendencies or Trujillo in years. But I give props to the man. Managing to have a family and keep a successful career as a musician, stay true as a musician, and as far as I can tell in seeing him on interviews and films he looks like one hell of a good man. I could only be so fortunate for my hard work and dreams to bear fruit. And on the Metallica film clip of his audition, WHAT HEART! COME ON (the playing was nasty tight).

Adam Clayton... I have been on sessions where the producer, when describing et bass tone would say, that "Adam Clayton" sound.

On and on with all of those guys on the list.
 
on a word about this Forum which kinda stick with the topic of the OP. We are all ambassadors of this brand or we would not be flying the colors so proudly. Its nice to see so many people being open and supportive of each-other, even when opinions differ. There have been plenty of threads with heated debates, but there is a sense of respect and support here. Don't hate.

I thought it was so amazing that within a handful of posts we had members listing names of other members (whoa are endorsees) who themselves have been a great help to all in this Forum.
 
Aye, we've got speed bumps too, and I share the same view of them as you do it seems! The only difference is that suspensions on your cars in Australia are tuned stiffer than here in North America. So I'm sure you fellers hate'em just a scoche more than we do o'er here. :lol:

I live to share. If I say it, it's everyone's to use any way they want. Unless they make money off of it. Then we talk about how many chicks & how much booze were gonna need for the party!!

Hey guys, back to the poll: Hellborg is really heading the field, after reading this thread i regret not using all of the poll's options to list endorsers. that way we could have seen different and more elaborate stats.
 
Trujillio not deserving to be in the list? WOOOW!!! I mean LOOOOL!!!

Not being able to see the qualities in an artist or human in general, is a serious problem for a human - artist in special.

He was probably my main inspiration in the early 90's
 
Sorry about that after i made those posts ia actually imediately had regrets about posting them. and from now on i will try to keep my mouth shut about another human's talents or inspirations. again i apoligize.
 
Well, Florin is great so I have to mention him (no flattery intended).
My other pick is Thesseling, the man who renewed in me the love for fretless basses with his terrific style and technique.
About the other names in the poll, I admit my ignorance for I barely know them, but I don't feel bad at all.
 
I know he's not an endorser anymore and since he passed away in May, it won't happen again, but I guess the late Paul Gray is my favorite endorser : why? Because I discovered the Thumb Bass and more generally Warwick thanks to him. He has the best bass sound I have ever heard on Iowa, full of growl, damn, awesome. yeah, He's never been the best bass player, nor the fastest or anything, but who cares? He did his job great and was a great guy (with his dark side too sadly).
 
Yeah, Paul Grey did it the right way, r.i.p. (by the way, Paul and i have the same birthday)
