This is true. I always take 'natural' to mean the color of the wood, whatever it may be; not that a 'natural' finish changes the color... because of course, it doesn't.
 
It's all about the natural for me, beautiful! even if it isn't a colour...but my favourite finish
 





ATM the 3 leading choices in finishes are
natural, amber, and black, none of which
are actually a color. Amongst actual color
finishes, red and purple are in the lead. I
spoze that means we are like honey bees
or hummingbirds.

I suspect there would have been less confusion if the original wording was "What's your favorite Warwick finish?"... which I'm guessing was Jester's intent.
 
The poll is about the favourite stain on oil and high polish finishes, or absence thereof. "Finish" would suggest finish type, and we would have to add many more options.

The woods are so beautiful, I have to go with natural. I wish they would bring back the body design where the neck pieces (stripes) show through the front. I would never color that.

You mean the SS1,Vampyre NT,Katana NT & Stryker NT Gerry?
They never went away mate.All the hidden NT's were always that way.
*edit.& Corvette NT,but that doesnt count ;)

:x Of course you are right. I only think in SS2 since I got mine. The first SS2 I ever saw was at GC here in Jersey and I believe it had this neck. Did SS2's ever have the neck pieces showing through the front or was this bass a CS? Or have I been away from here so long that I'm just completely way off? I do remember it had ying yang fret markers. Sorry for the off topic.

Maybe what you saw was a CS stage 2 with stage 1 specs with inlays.I've seen a couple of these myself & I think Lex has one in 6 string fretless,without inlays of course.
Stage 2's have always been hidden nt's mate.;)

Doesn't count? Isn't the bubinga version the single best example of what he's referring to - it's a "non-hidden" NT that isn't "re-hidden" by the application of a color stain! Okay, I'm biased... :x

Doesnt count coz it's the baby of the range & yet to prove it's worth.I mean,for we know it'll be discontinued by dinner time.:lol:
