What to expect from Warwick in 2008?

this bass is based on pantera bassist signature spector.

for 2008, I'd like to see more warwick in SN option and a standard (I mean, not custom) ovangkol $$ corvette.

or to put it in another way: it's about as expensive as a Thumb 4 NT (in Germany).

Anyway, I really love to see a Thumb SN, although I really doubt it will ever exist...............2007 has been an amazing year with a lot of new Warwick gear. I wouldn't be surprised if 2008 will be more modest............Of course I hope for a lot of new stuff............I sure love to see the Fortress NT as well................... 8)
 
tbh the only thing i'd really like to see is a 6 string RB with a fretless option..

Anything else that i could possibly think of i'm sure the the custom shop can do for me (i have modest needs)
 
I thought Nikki Sixx's Dr. Feelgood bass was a Thunderbird. Hence the Signature basses offered by Gibson and Epiphone.
 
Although Nikki always was a hardcore Gibson Thunderbird fan, he had a B.C rich period (for endorsment reasons) and a Spector period (while gibson wern't making thunderbirds to his tastes...)

Dr. feelgood was during the spector era...

Speaking of Nikki Sixx, I gave a quick listen to his latest album, "heroin diaries", which is the soundtrack to his recently published book... It's interesting I guess for die hard fan, and I guess it gives more depth to the book, but I give the album a solid "Meh..."...
 
If I was going to play a thunderbird it would have to be teh real deal, Gibson...

I got an Epiphone Thunderbird back in 1990. I was thinking of replacing the pickups, but after jamming with it decided against it. Has way more tonal range than the Gibson I played a while back. Amazing finish. Horrible balance, hey what do you expect from that humungous headstock? Saw a more recent Epi T-bird and thought, WTF is this POS? Weighs prolly 1-2 pounds less than mine, also see the retail price has dropped a tiny bit, from $600 to $350.

Not played a Gibson Thunderbird for a while, but the last one I played the knobs literally fell off as I adjusted them. :shock:
 
I may be alone in this, but I think Warwick ought to slow down on the new products. Sure, they're great to GAS over, but there's just so MANY different products out now they can't all be profitable.

Too many different models weakens the brand IMO.

DOn't get me wrong, i love it when something new comes out, but I can only buy so many basses (as can most people) and the vast majority are nothing but eye-candy to me.

It would be easy to mistake enthusiasm on this board for an actual interest in buying.

That said, I love Fortresses and there seems to be a GENUINE demand for a comeback (although I have a rare one made in 2001 - one of the last)
