I've never had problems witrh Thumb balance... just get a comfort strap and rest the thing on yer fat belly!
... anyway... this festival yesterday was a bit disorganised... but still great fun! The PA guy had brought a smaller PA (reckoned he'd been misinformed about the specs) so it was drums and vocals and the rest through backline. We also had to bring our lights... would you believe they hadn't even thought about lights... and it was an outside gig going on late!
So I've fallen in love with my Mark Bass amp again! Only brought the 12" combo for monitoring, but had to use it as backline... and it was a monster! On an outside stage competing with two Marshall half-stacks... and only turned up about a third - didn't even have the extension cab with me!
And it was a great gig! Some photos may emerge... so may post some in the future!

I'm not a big fan of backline only... you really need someone to balance all the sound up properly... but everyone I spoke to thought it was pretty good, including Mrs SJ who tells it like it is!
I got collared by a bass-player afterwards... a Warwick Thumb player, in fact... well, he thought the bass sounded fine, and we both agreed it was hard to get a bad sound out of a Thumb (well we would say that, wouldn't we?)
