Hey guys, this is the first time i have had the need to start my own thread and since we all seem like a smart and helpful bunch on the Warwick forum(and talented..just listen to the Warwick forum compilation part 1!) i know someone here can help me. For a few years now my 5 string Thumb BO has had a touchy volume pot(active/ passive) no matter how charged my battery is. I can be playing and and accidentally brush the volume control and lose up to 80 percent of my original volume, i can turn down my volume control in between sets and come back and turn it up again and lose volume again. This is really great in the middle of a gig and it sees me feverishly trying to get my volume back by push/pulling the pot or tapping it. It would great to know if anyone else has come across this before with their warwick(or any bass for that matter)and how do i remedy the problem(buying a new volume control?). Thanks heaps guys!

I think a replacement pot would to the job...

but you can look for loose wires (unlikely) and spray with contact cleaner

I had the opposite problem and sprayed it and even trimmed with Dremel because it was too much stiff!

+1

Best solutuion for any chronic
PITA is to just replace it/her.

Hehe. +100 for the it/her

I've had the same problem with my Bubinga Thumb, just haven't replaced it yet. I've got the feeling that it might just need a whole electronics redo. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Thanks guys. Looks like ill get a new one then! Cheers.
