How will we position the pickups on our Thumb NT (see mockups below)?

Here are the options:
(Please, Florin or Oliver, tell us if any of those choices are impossible!)

Classic "Straight" J/TJ


J/TJ, both angled as a thumb 5


J/TJ, with only the bridge TJ angled as a thumb 4


Inverted J/TJ, with the J angled, and at the bridge position


Inverted J/TJ, with the J at bridge and the twin J at neck


Just to Wrap things up so far we have:

-Thumb NT
-5-strings
-Wenge Neck
-Ash Body
-J/TJ pickups
-Ebony Fretted Fretboard

Pretty interesting instrument we have there, boys!
 
Hey Jan,

this bass is maybe going to be built someday right ?? Maybe.........? Shouldn't we have standard CS options in that case ?? I don't think the angled twin jazz pickup is available............ :roll:
 
Inverted J/TJ, with the J angled, and at the bridge position, it just looks so cool and would really make this bass truly original

hehe just read this....

my take on it...i'd hope with enough persuasion it should be possibly but i cna only hope.....mmm that pickup config looks really tempting for fretless playing....if this bass was fretless i'd seriously concider trying to find the 5000euros for it tbh its gonna be one monster of a bass :D:D:D

a little bit of tradition (the angled J pickup), with a bit of rarity (the twin Jazz at the neck). Why not ??
Maybe Warwick will say that this isn't going to work.................we'll see. 8)
 
Four string front pup in front of the slanted rear is my vote.
 
Classic, J and twinJ straight. Anything else, well that aint right.
 
angled pups... that should give a GREAT tone. a nice bite on the treble end (which we need with the ash body)
 
Inverted J/TJ, with the J angled, and at the bridge position was my vote. It's traditional Thumb at the bridge, but something :shock: DIFFERENT :shock: with the TJ. I like the ash body too. I'm all for something new and exciting.
 
I went with a tried and true PU config. I wouldn't get one but it would be really cool if they built it...
 
wehey my idea made it onto the poll :D

option four (with the TJ a little more towards the neck :wink: )
 
:( how boring are people, we have the options of some wild pickup placement but Classic "Straight" J/TJ is dominating...i can only hope more feel the urge that a Inverted J/TJ, with the J angled, and at the bridge position is needed on this bass....
