That's really shocking news. I thought wanted a Ducati 900. Those are fast and sound good, damn good, bottom low ... but the Thumb... oh my.

I installed one on my BO thumb and I did not hear that much of a difference. i was going to trade it with another forumer in another continent and I oferred to do this upgrade to "seal" the deal. He commited to do the trade for another wic and .... a few days later he backed out after "making the commitment" on my Thumb BO. After I made this addition to my Thumb to tell you the truth I do not hear that much of a difference in my sound. I do not like to open my battery compartment and see the couple of black tape here an there to protect the solderings and unions with the 3 band.

If you have the cash go for it. I would rather keep the 2 band if I had not made the investment and then just tweak stuff around on your amp.

Yeah, I might just keep the 2-band after all. It depends on if I can get a hold of a 3-band cheap...I really like having a midrange control on the bass, as that is the control I use the most.

check ebay.. they pop there from time to time but the ones for the Streamers and FNAs (4 pots) show up there more frequently than the 3 pot ones like the Thumb's.

Now you can make an extra hole on that thumb to do that but I personally would either wait for the 3 pot one to come up or stick to the 2 band. I am too afraid to drill any holes into my basses. :wink:

Each year we should all celebrate this fine day by going out and buying a new Warwick bass!
