I'm very much looking forward to getting your impressions of things when you get an SS2 Samuel.I too once believed I'd found "the grail" with a Thumb NT.Then my mind was swayed after I gotta Stage 2.

Yeah, I really want a Stage II fiver....however, the one I was looking at in Sweden cost about double what I payed for the Thumb....perhaps if I can use it in a trade. For now, though, I'm going to keep it!

Yeah, I know, it's strange...it probably is a 91', but maybe the seller bought it in 92' or something....we had the same discussion about vpshockwave's vintage Stage II-5.

I'm thinking about putting in a 3-band preamp in the bass...I really like having a midrange control on board. There is one for sale on the forum right now, for the right price. However, would it decrease the resale value? Of course, I could always put the 2-band back if I wanted to.
