The WFSE thumb NT bass, the return! (also known as Part 19!)

Well, well, I'm a little back... (even planning on renovating a house takes a lot of time!!!)

So to sum up what we have at this stage:

-Thumb NT 5
-Ash body, Ebony top, matching headstock.
-Wenge neck, ebony fingerboard
-Purpleheart lamination of the body, three purpleheart laminations in the neck.
-Tone Chambers
-J/TJ pickups
-Black Hardware
-White illuminated side dots and headstock W

What do we do from here?
Do we go with a standard Thumb electronic active package, or go with a different pre-amp?

MEC, I like the way all my MEC equipped basses sound different. MEC's seem to make the most of the tonal properties intrinsic to the bass.

the thing is that with the J/TJ pickup configutation, we're pretty much limited to MECs, so the brand of the pickups is not among the choices we still have...

I forgot the vote was for the J-TJ setup, man this bass is gonna be one nasty bastage. That setup is unreal on the Dolphin.

I wouldn't want to bug the guys at the Custom Shop, since I don't think anyone is planning on ordering this monster, but it would be neat to get a price from them in the end, as what this bass would actually cost. :shock:

Naetog, we're limited again by the TwinJazz, only available in active from MEC (At least in the options of the Custom Shop...)

So with active pickups, we can't go with passive electronics...

Oh, and for the price, let's see what the custom shop Price list says:

But, if the bass is going to be that expensive, it had better have some electronics in it!!

Is there any way to wire a TJ to a 3 way toggle so you can pick which side of it you want to solo?? that would be fancy. 8)
