The stealth looks mighty dominant. If it plays the way it looks, you won't be needing the other two, will you?

Honestly, is a 4-string really enough for you, Hardy?
Just ship it to me, I'll gladly dispose of it for you.

    I bet you will!

Today I will install new strings, but already now I can say it has the same snap in the sound like the other two Infinitys. That means that the paint does not seal it in. Any wishes so far? Too bad it's not a broadneck! ;) And indeed it has no serial sound. Let's see if I find a situation to use the split sound.

That first Infy is an absolute weapon. Looks like it's lifting off to the moon. Serious bass porn, man.
    Hardy on!

Doesn't matter if I just got a new bass yesterday - I still always look online and dream of more - Especially after seeing some pics of Inifinity, Dolphin, CS, SE, vintage, etc.

Did Warwick officially move the tailpiece of the Infinity closer to the bridge in recent models?

Looking through the pictures on the website and custom shop, I'm seeing some tailpieces close to the bridge, and some very far in their 'usual' positions. Take a look at these two:

    http://www.warwick.de/en/Warwick---...ty--Infinity-5---843--5-string--Pictures.html
    http://www.warwick.de/en/Warwick---...y--Infinity-NT---849--5-string--Pictures.html

The closer tailpiece makes the most sense. With the farther tailpiece, the 'required' taperwound strings don't actually reach the saddle, which is crazy.

Can anybody shed some light on this?

For me it looks like that they moved the tailpiece closer to the bridge in general but used "old" body planks when a standard wood config was requested (ovangkol/maple).
