Let's see, How many strings should our Thumb have?

Would be cool in 4 as well but personally I prefer 5-strings.

I have nothing against 5-strings, but 4-string necks just play so much better in my book...

We're not building a stock bass here people, we're building a custom shop Special edition!

you know they make new 6 string MM pups as well? john myung is now using a 6 string bongo. guess he got fed up with the yamaha tone as well. haha.

5 man, what else? Love the tighter string spacing, you wanna chord that bad boy? Way easier on a 5 stringer.

5 here. 4 is nice, but 5 is just right. that low D is always there without de-tuning.

I'm a sucker for J style pickups, and the NT5 has the most insane pickup arrangement. Just one look at that bass and I knew it was going to sound too cool for it's own good.

Anyone remember when Roger Glover of Deep Purple had two Jazz Bass pickups mounted to his Rickenbacker at a similar angle about 35 years ago? (they weren't quite so close to the bridge as on the NT5)

2 years ago I played the Thumb NT5 and decided that it was the most incredible bass I had ever played or heard.
So I naturally I had to buy it.
