From the realm of dormant threads, I here- by call back.......This one! :)

Over 1 year later and I'm still thrilled with my Pnut III bass. No question, this is the Warwick for me. Now that I'll be doing regular 3 hour gigs, I'm feeling like switching up the tone a bit on certain songs. Believe me, I have dark, thick and heavy tone covered! I'm also playing more with my thumb and plucking with index and find that I can do it easier on 19mm spacing. My other basses are both 4 string but I'm more comfortable on a 5. My search for an affordable jazz bass has lead me to the Carvin SB5000. I've only played one Carvin bass (Icon 5) years ago, and while I thought it was ok, it wasn't what I was looking for at the time. I must say that the SB5000 clips I've seen have impressed me enough to order one from their custom shop. So, with a 7 week build time, I have 6 weeks left. G.A.S is under control because I still enjoy my Wick but I must say, I'm quite curious. Their basses aren't readily available for trial in most stores, so, they have a 10 day, no questions asked return policy. I'll know in 10 minutes if it's a keeper.
Lots of chat on TB about it but if anyone from here has tried one or has an opinion about these, please chime in.
Who else is waiting for something?

Not for the bass though. My SS1 is here!!! But...I've only played through my headphones so far (brought some DT100 headphones and a Boss ME20B on last day of tour just for practise :D)


I'm waiting to play it though my rig!!! With my band!!


This is actually harder than waiting for the bass to arrive haha. Two weeks will we next meet up (were having a little break after the tour)
 
I know what u mean. I waited months to use my Hellborg rig live! It was sooo worth it. Mediocre gig but I sounded pretty good. How are you getting on with wider spacing?
