I never liked the Reverso... Plus it only has a P style pup... I like my basses to have two pups. If I ever bought one, I'd buy a lefty and flip the strings and add a bridge pup to it, and move the electronics down... I'd have to dig in a new hole... Too much hassle... No thanks, I'd rather get the Zender, heh... It looks nicer.

I usually solve this kind of issues via PM. But WTF, you are calling a smart ass one of the nicest and most helpful guys around here, so I feel like defending him in public. He just donated the strings he got as a winner! He is helping everybody, even tried to reply to yourself. Even if your answers were way otta line, he was still kind with you and peaceful.

What happend Nacho? I hope that was an alcohol intoxicated Nacho, or something, (it happened to mee too a couple of times here) because, I didn't knew you that way.
 
Warwick usually wows me with what they bring out, but these really don't do it for me. To each their own I suppose....

the p-nut tlooks flat backish to me - is this a mirage?
 
I have to apologise to Eberbachl and the rest of you, yesterday was a hard day, I was in a strange mood, and, well... Now I feel ashamed about my reaction and what I wrote. Sorry for that.

I was going to apologise in private with Eberbachl an Florin, but instead I´m doing it in public, as everybody saw my comments. This is a nice forum with nice people and no one deserves to be treated like that just because.

Someone NEEDS to try a Pro Series Thumb, and then report back here on how it sounds!
 
BTW, have you seen the serial number of those basses?, very low numbers. Those are from the very first bunch of basses they made last year.

Hope the local stores in Madrid start receiving those babies soon.
 
I really want to get my hands on one of those Pro Thumb 6er's. I want to see how it sizes up to my German Thumb 6 something bad. But i think i'm with Flipper on the whole lacquer finish jazz. I'm just not feeling it. Raw Waxed wood looks way better to me imho. But if i could pick one of those bad mofo's up at a good price the lacquer would meet with a can of paint striper and a belt sander real fast. think i would change the hardware to black as well. I really want to know how they stack up though. No luck finding any here in the USA yet. looks like i will have to wait a little longer.
 
I think we´ll have to wait until summer to see them in stores.
 
Looking forward to impressions on the Thumb, I too think that both Thumb and Streamer would look much better with oil finish and black hardware. Well, if they sound great (pretty sure they will) it's what matters ;)
 
Just my personal feeling about pro and artist series

had the stuff in my hands but no chance to try them amplified.

Well - the thumbs seemed to be nice.
The vettes and streamers to me simply did not
feel like the real thing:-/

Did not like the Artist series at all:-/ Nothing against Rockbasses but to me they feel much closer to RB than to wicks
(cannot say anything on the sound though). All models except the T.M. have a flat back ...


I would recommend: try before you buy;-)

Thumb and Streamer have the contour back, the ovangkol necks are nice of the vettes - the maple necks

Oh Thats good to know. Cause a flat thumb would be weird. I'm not much for maple necks myself.

And the Pnut is curved as well... The rest of them are flat anyway. Adam Clayton, Robert Trujillo, Stuart Zender are basses with flat back (the German ones)

To me the corvettes were similar to the German Ones... I've tested the thumb and the Streamer LX and the sound was there. I agree with oil finish, I like it better.

Artist series... well you compare them to the highest Warwicks. I mean the German Rob Trujillio bass is a piece of art, while the Korean on is a budget version of it. Unlike the "standard" models that are almost 1:1 to the German versions. So it is normal not to be very impressed. However, if you don't look at them as a "signature replicas" but as standalone basses, they are pretty cool to me. The Trujillio is a cool bass, with EMG pickups, silver inlay, asymmetrical neck profile, and cool satin black finish.
