The Heads Up Thread

Greatest chance ever!!!

That has to be the worst musical instrument retailer on eBay. Maybe Wishbass is worse.

They provide almost no/incorrect information, display one picture, have a listing layout from 1996, and have prices 50%-150% higher than they should be.

Korean Adam Clayton signature b-stock, sold by Thomann:

Another one, but neck damaged:

♣♣♣♣, I accidentally bought a bass.
Seriously. On a bizarre way of behaving, I put a bid on the "less damaged" one. Thinking, OK, half price is fair and I'm sure someone will overbid me.
No one did.
So it appears that I bought a bass.
How am I going to tell this to my wife, I don't know yet.

This way I got my first Warwick. I was the only one who placed a bid on a Stryker. Same think with my Star Bass! In the end both deals were no accident at all!

The Reverso is a funny gear. Who owns a Buzzard will not have any problems with it´s unusual looks. My Reverso has the lowest action of all my basses.

How to tell your wife? Tell her it´s my bass, you got it only borrowed! A downright lie can save lives!

P.S.: A warm welcome to the next GOLD MEMBER!!!

actually you bought a proper neck for your buzzard:-)

Actually I was thinking about this, Sascha.
I kinda hope the necks are swap-able. So I have a nice fast buzzard and a heavy duty Rock N Roll Pick played Precision.

P.S.: A warm welcome to the next GOLD MEMBER!!!
Thanks.

I've bought several things this way!
- Guitars
- Guns
- Girlfriends

O_O

♣♣♣♣....why here in Germany i never can't see Girlfriends for auctions on ebay ??? :((:((:((:((:((

From my experience, Girlfriends you pay for are in the end the most economical.
Now, I can't wait to get my hands on this Reverso.
I'm still uncertain if I'll keep it, I do hope the neck is not too thin. I can bear with the Jazz bass Fretless I made because it's cheap and finally seldom used, but for this one... Well, will see if I can also swap the neck.
Will keep you posted.

BTW, being on this forum is quite expensive. I came here with only my Dolphin Pro2, and now I have a Pro1, A buzzard and à Reverso... Why am I so influencable ? :-)

thats the question i take myself all day...
i came here with a small Warwick Amp...
and now...2 Warwick RB, 5 another BAsses..and all days looking on 2. Hand market for more Warwick BAsses :D

I came with one bass. In the meantime they were 18, now down to 14. My 9 Wicks are all still here. ;)

Here's a Streamette - the guy's out to lunch on the price, at least double what it should be:

FNA Jazzman going cheap, but with a reserve:

I guess the deal with the fairly priced fretless Infinity SN fell through:

And I know this isn't a Warwick, but somebody better get on this Pedulla Buzz Bass with soapbars:

Good thing. The only 'vette I'd like to buy, fortunaltely too high priced, too far away, and I did not receive the Reverso yet.
I gotta get out of this thread.
