The Heads Up Thread

Just to update here - I did end up finding and buying a used LX6, thanks for all your help! Hope to have it in my hands late next week or early the one after.
 
Looking for a nice/clean/un-modded Thumb NT 4 from the late '80s and early '90s as well as a Dolphin 4 also from the early '90s. I'm guessing that a good Thumb might be a little easier to track down, but would appreciate the heads-up on appropriately priced examples from the crew here on the forum. Your help is greatly appreciated.

This heads up thread can move rather fast, making your request hard to find.

Also, the 1989 and 1990 Dolphins are different sounding from the 1991 and after ones.

Will keep an eye out tho.

That bass sold for $14xx in June. Apparently something went wrong with the sale, but you may be able to message the seller and get the price down:
 


Streamer LX on ebay came up on my search... yes it says LX that's what got my attention. Until it dawned on me! :confused:
 
I've seen the current ABM ones, but does anyone have a source for the original Just-a-nut style brass nuts?

I bought one many years ago from Luthier's Mercantile and have done some web-scouring, but can't seem to find anything other than the modern version that ABM is making, with the phillips-head screws instead of the more normal nut-slot screws that Warwick used. Of course, these could be filed.

What do you mean? He paid 900 and wants that back or a similar 6 string.
Must be cheap then? It's a passive Pedulla.

I've played that bass in particular and it's a very good bass.
