The Heads Up Thread

Here's a Rockbass Corvette toured with and signed by Kip Winger.

For some reason, the seller thinks that this INcreases the value of the bass.

Kip Winger... of Winger fame?

If you ask me, that should be a price-decrease factor.

I'd have no problem using an active Rockbass Corvette Basic in any situation.

Kip Winger using a Rockbass in a professional setting is a dubious endorsement of how Rockbasses are legit.

Still wish they had an 'R' on the headstock instead of a 'W'. If a bass is good enough to wear a 'W' on it's headstock, it's good enough to wear any letter it wants.

(I should stop teasing Kip Winger, pro players tend to sign up to forums when I start making fun of them... his Charvel signature was lovely, and I wish I had his hair. Or any hair. OK I'll stop.)

Why not? I always watch Premier Guitar's Rig Rundown's and this week there was a guitar player who uses a stock Stagg...

Oh yeah??? When I saw Them Crooked Vultures live, and whenever JPJ was on keyboards/keytar/steel, Alain Johannes would play bass on a Rogue Violin bass copy. If there's a worse bass to bring out live, I'd like to see it.

What makes the body of the Taranis differnt from any other ask body?? it seems different

It is sandblasted. The only difference as I know. And of course the J/MM-pickup configuration, which Warwick thinks fits best for the low B-Tuning.

It was on here?? i dont remember....

Id like to see the old thread if you can dig it out, ill look..

That was being sold on here, its covered in finish cracks, pretty poor state really. The price does reflect it I guess. but I'd like it a bit cheaper :)

Here or Basschat? I have a feeling it was on BC and TBH for the same money, my old red SSI will be a far better bass and that is still available (not with/by me). ;)
