An absolute (German) bargain, I don't even play 5 string bass but were I in Germany I'd be knocking on his door now! ;)
 
The owner writes something about a small crack in the upper neck :-( I requested a close-up pic, let's see if it is a serious problem or not.

2002 Thumb, really good starting price but it has some flaws I'm afraid of betting on, also needs a lot of rejuvenation. This was somebody's work horse for sure. Seller lists it as a Wenge neck but it's an Ovankol neck and body.

What about the crack in the neck? Something serious? I hesitated to buy it, because it is a neckthrough. Not easy to repair such a damage. (And because of my 13 other basses.) But I´m lucky that you made that catch, Sascha! Have fun with it! And share your experiences with the bass with us!

should be ok to repair - but on this bass I will let a pro do the job:-) The bass is killer - I will restore its former glory:-)

@DiMarco, saw that Dolphin too! Too bad i'm out of money after buying my LX5 xD That dolphin looks the ♣♣♣♣ :D
