The Heads Up Thread

Found this locally:

No link to it personally, but it looks quite nice according to the photos, possible exception is this in the description:

Der Bass hatte eine Reparatur am Hals/Trussrod. Wurde professionell vom Gitarren Total in Zürich durchgeführt. Antesten und/oder Abholung in Zürich Wipkingen. Aktueller Neupreis 4100.-

Here's a heads up for everyone. I negotiated a deal to buy this bass on Reverb from the seller Ole Kolbice:

After I made the payment, he held the funds for a few days and then changed his mind. He did this in spite of the fact that we had exchanged messages and worked out a deal! He then refunded the payment, but the exchange rate changed and I lost $52.23 as a result. He refuses to make up the loss he caused, and tries to claim it wasn't his fault. Beware of this weasel!!!

When i am in Cologne i could test and pick up that bass.
But I am really astonished that there are sellers who don't care about already paid deals...

I appreciate your offer, but that scumbag will never see a penny of my money again. This sort of crap is becoming much too commonplace on Reverb. I just returned a Gibson Victory Artist to a seller on Reverb, and got a bunch of attitude from the guy for my troubles. He described the bass as "very good" and when I received it, it looked like it had been dragged behind the UPS truck on the way to my house. It seems the whole world has gone bonkers. Stay safe my friends.

I can totally understand it. The world has gone mad. I actually thought Reverb was a bit of a safe place to buy instruments.

Reverb was much better before Etsy bought them. Now, sadly, it probably still is the best place to buy, but only because of their guarantees. But you have to be much more careful than in the past, because even though they have the guarantees, it still is a huge waste of time when things go wrong. And, as I have described, you can still lose money. I can't even imagine the stuff that goes on on Ebay.

Firs time i see that... is it a real Warwick ?
