I think it is a fair call to say it is a Stage II - J pups, afzelia body, custom inlays. If that doesnt make it a Stage II im not sure what would

I prefer the Stage 2 basses which have an eye-popping grain. This one looks a bit plain to me.

thats a fair point - my point was that even though it may not be "officially" a Stage II, it is definitely not unreasonable to call it a Stage II from the sellers perspective - the buyer, for all intents and purposes will be receiving a bass that plays, sounds and (90%)looks like a Stage II.

Definitely Afzelia. Check out my Afzelia Thumb in the Thumb Club and you will notice the similarities in the colour and grain.

These have pencil thin necks though, even smaller then Ibanez.
