The seller just put up a 15% off promo within the last hour. I couldn't pass up a vintage Streamer for $1190 shipped.

Hey Jon... Do you agree with Aguacollas that the MEC pups and preamp were most likely replaced? Hence the black push/pull knob. And what's your opinion about the bridge? Seems like an '87 should usually have that Warwick stamp, right?

Also curious....have you ever seen this particular one come up for sale? Do you think it's most likely an original paint job? Sorry for all the questions...I'm suddenly a giddy with excitement :)

I think the bridge is original, pups... possibly also, though if it is 3 band that's a straightforward fix or just accept. The finish you'd need to assess in the flesh as there are many early solid colours that look like this (check out the end of neck/fingerboard blend) BUT some good luthiers that could equal Warwick. ;)

Cool, thanks for the info. At least from the pics, the paint job looks pro. I'll find out soon enough for sure :) 2 band or 3....I'll get a gold knob....or it'll drive me crazy.

Interesting you think it may possibly be the original MEC pups. If so, I'd imagine a pretty early example, historically speaking....as I thought '88 was the first year Wick introduced em.

Ok.... time for a paddlehead.

Anybody ever seen this one come up before? I feel like I have possibly. Maybe here on the forums? It's been defretted. It has an ebony fb. Guessing they switched to ebony, because of going fretless. Snowballs chance in hell, that an '84 streamer has a special order ebony fretboard out of the factory....right?

Other than that... hardware looks proper and is in pretty good shape. Tuners sticking out straight, check. Crack in neck, check, no "W", check. Potentially one of the first. HS veneer has maybe been replaced/refinished? It does look a bit newish. Like maybe an ebony veneer at the same time of the defret.

Opinions? Thoughts? Feelings? ;) Selling out of Germany. HP, is that you?! :)
