The Heads Up Thread

In regards to the Dark Lord that is posted on Reverb (quote taken from there) ----

"If you are looking at this, you probably know what it is. This is an ultra-rare Warwick Vampyre Dark Lord. This was Originally going to be the Signature model for Ryan Martinie of Mudvayne, but the band broke up. Only very few of these were made and they cannot be found anymore. This is NOT the cheap Chinese Rockbass, but a Custom Shop, Handmade in Germany Vampyre. There are only the slightest signs of playwear, MEC logo slightly worn on one pickup, that's honestly about all I see. I would say mint, but I am sure someone with a microscope could find something! Currently strung F#, B, D, G!"

Is what I highlighted in bold correct?

No, it isn't. I know the guy on Facebook who is selling thatbass. He is a douche bag supreme. Fuck him.

Sounds like it, never been a fan of the design but was intrigued to see that "fact."

This the one?

Adz, that'd be the one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that isn't a Dark Lord, is it? It looks like the top is contoured.

That does not look like a Dark Lord. You're correct. That's gotta be a blue Vamp next to Ryan.

So the Dark Lord is not German-made, right?

There is a German made Dark Lord. It's the ones with the sandblasted top, Ovankol BO neck.

Pretty good deal for an Stage 1 out of Seattle....if anyone in the states lives nearby. Don't know if he'd ship. Craigslist. $1400

Schlo could probably pin it down closer, but it looks to be circa 2000, with those thin neck pinstripe stringers.

They started to offer this one for 10.000,- EUR!!! They went down and down... now 799,- EUR, haha! But this should be o.k. for someone who can live with the worn condition and the mods:

An '84 SS1 for 800 euro?!?! Or is that a starting bid price? Pups mod or not...seems like a smokin deal on the 186th Streamer.

Back to the pup mod. Why why why would they do that??? Sad face :(

Definitely a candidate for a total repair/refinish. Put the p style pups back in. Bam!

Do it Hardy.

You can even make a lower offer. The description says the mod was done by Warwick. Serial number is not original. Still it's a paddle head. But it would be easier just to get this one:

It could be 186 still. That's about the right number range for an '84. If it's an '84.

Get both! Now! Hardy! Dooooo it!
