The Heads Up Thread

Let's hope he sends to the NL.

Is it "A certain shade of green"?

Mr HH

I cannot stop myself coveting your collection!

Please tell me how excessively heavy the SS1 is please
What year was it built?
Thanks

The bass is made in 2008. Not heavy! Here are the specs:

A tad too high of a price, methinks.
I wish this whole "Dolphin Pro II basses were nice" thing would stop. This is like the next generation of '70 Jazz basses - shat on for decades, and then all of a sudden they're desirable.

Wow ho-ho... They ARE desire-able.
It's not because they were ahead of their time in the early nineties that they're not cool now.
Especially since I already liked them back in the time.:-)

A few years back Dolphins like that went for 500 euro or something.
It's a fad, that (hopefully) will go away soon. Or the market will adapt to these prices and stay that way.

It's the same with old Ibanez Musicians for example, people want ~750-800 for good examples, and i've seen 1000+.
They were 250-400 max around 5-10 years ago.

Fashions come and go. Now in the current market a used Wal will cost you 3-5000 euros.
When I picked mine up (pre euro) it was about the price of that Dolphin 2!

That's some investment!!!

So are these Pro 2's any good??
From memory and what I've read they were a bit hit and miss. Manufacturing issues and no consistency in build quality.
I would be interested in a cheap one tho
I haz plans
