ive just looked at the sub III manual and im confused. its a self powered sub so i presumed it would have a volume control but it doesnt...and haave an explanation?

What's the Sub III? Is it for home audio or guitar?

The sub III is a powered sub that Warwick produced a few years ago, to use as a complement to either a combo (standing up, it has the same footprint as a CL...) or a full rig (lying on the side it has the same footprint as a 4x10 cab...)

And stroud, I'm also interested in the beast, but have to clue why there would not be a volume knob on the thing... :?

I am guessing this was a reason it was discontinued :-)

You link it to "line out" of the amp, so the signal from there will respond to MASTER settings, so ... you can adjust the volume after all...

it'd be not very usable as you wouldnt be able to adjust the volume seperatly to the master of the rest of the rig. whaat if you wanted the rest of the rig prety loud and the sub III pretty quiet
