I've had massive gas attacks lately. Streamer Stage 1 is on my mind. I heard Florin's Xbass clip, where he played a corvette proline. So I'm on to maple necks now. And I just LOVE the look of flamed maple!

How much is the extra charge for AAA flamed maple on a 5 string? And how much extra does it cost to get it in a burgundy red oil finish? I just LOVE it!

the corvette proline has an ovangkol neck
 
Has now. But he will order it in CUstom SHop anyway so if he wants Maple Neck like I had, he can have it :-)
Sorry Ben, I don't have more tracks now, but I tell you, that bass was a beast!
 
The Proline Flo used had a maple neck, stock in 1995. And I don't think it's custom shop, but it says AAA flamed maple is availible at an upcharge.
Well, not a full custom shop order anyway.
I seem to have found a sweeeeet 2003 SSI 5 string with some SERIOUS grain in a honey violin finish, they also have the burgundy red, but honey violin is really slapping burgundy red around :)

ohh thx for the info on vintage prolines

For maple, I always thought maple quality very subjective. You know, I've already seen AAAAA flamed maple with less grain than most AA. You see this bass is probably listed AA or AAA flamed maple, but it looks like a great AAAA or a standard AAAAA. anyway, my 2 cents
 
I don't see what it's listed at, but I'm guessing it went through an upcharge for atleast AAA flame maple. from AA, but it could just be one of the finest AA slabs ever :)
 
I know I said I wouldn't buy any more Warwicks this year since my bills are high and I also said I was going to leave the Streamer Stage I as a dream bass to hold onto for the future, but yesterday I made the mistake (but a fortunate one) of checking eBay and now I am the proud winner of this 1999 18volt, high polish blue AAA flame SSI:






And I got for a mere $1600.00! My collection is now 2 Thumbs (NT & a Dirty Blonde), 2 Corvettes (Std. fretless & a $$), and now 2 Streamers (Std. w/ swirly bubinga top & this SSI)!
 
Congratulations, it's a beautiful bass. But the honey violin with flamed maple is a killer combination!

I believe it's used. They have not one, but TWO beautiful Honey violin ssI 5 stringers, 1 burgundy red and a nirvana black one, all at very reasonable prices - And I've done some e-mailing, customer support is great, even if you haven't bought anything yet :)

I'm probably going to prioritize getting an amp now, but that SSI I posted a picture of, is offered at 2799$

Oh dear..... better not do that then :-). I like the black one as well.

But enough shopping now for a while after the Thumb, Marcbass F1 and the EBS NEO 212 (which I just scored 10 minutes ago). 8)

No wax on colored oil finish needed!
