You compare warwick to warwick.
Warwick uses only best quality wood at all models,
but i am comparing Warwick to Rockbass
i don't think that rockbass uses best quality wood like warwick......
and it is still made in chine

The quality if the timber used in Rockbasses is great.

It's just different type of timber. That's all.

Maple instead of Ovangkol.

Rosewood instead of Wenge.

Alder instead of Bubinga for example.

Different timbers, different tones. That's all. The timber is simply less exotic, and cheaper. Try telling some of the many high end and custom luthiers that use maple rosewood and alder that their timber is low quality.

That comment simply smacks of ignorance and racism :x

It's not the country of origin that determines the quality of a product, it's the individual factory and it's quality controls.

Still, if your funds doesn't allow a Warwick Corvette STD. A rockbass is a very good alternative

or year i used to have warwick corvetter; basic very cruppy bass if you ask me compare to my Duck Lord. :lol:

P.S. but i still agry that this is good bass for that price

And I find the "Duck" Lord extremely "cruppy" comparing to... the Vampyre NT for example. But I'm sure that no one is interested in hearing how crappy his bass is, comparing to other models. It's a matter of taste after all, so would you please "agry" to stop making those kind of remarks? Thanks

You will understand some day that the price of the instrument doesn't necessary define it's quality, and it doesn't increase your musical knowledge... Markus Setzer for example made some recordings on a Corvette Basic, "the cruppy model" that couldn't be matched by users here and their AMAZING Dark Lords in a thousand years

Rockbasses are made using top quality woods,hardware & electronics.
The factory in China uses alot of the older machinery from the German factory.One example is the fretting machine,designed by Warwick.That same machine installed the frets on my old 2003 Thumb NT,now it frets Rockbasses.Also the Chinese factory has alot of employees from the German factory & Hans Peter spends up to 50% of the time in China to oversee the Rockbasses construction & to maintain quality.
Rockbasses arent of lesser quality than German Warwicks.Just different woods & made in a different country with different labour costs.

I've had a Corvette Rockbass since 2003 and since then I've bought and sold a Warwick Streamer STD and a Fender Ashbory

I've played Yamahas, Status's and other popular named 5 string basses and the only bass I've played which comes as close to mine is a Corvette $$!

Many people look at the head and see "Rockbass" and think it's cheap tat...

The guitarist in my band loves the way my Rockbass sounds.

I love the way it sounds.

The truth is (as we've heard from the sound clips) is that most people cannot tell the difference in sound.

The only reason I'm getting a $$ is because I want an expensive second bass for playing live with. Simply because I hate de-tuning my rockbass every other song we practise! No other reason.

I wouldn't trade my Rockbass for ANY other bass.

It's 5 Years old. I've grown seriously attached to it!

If you want a bass with a lower price point I whole heartidly recommend the Rockbass Corvette!

but i don't think that thay use alder as good as for example like ESP at Tom Araya signature bass :?

What makes you say that?
ESP dont have any special access to woods that Warwick doesnt.
Dont be fooled by the price tag.This is wood we're talking about.
Warwick are famous for to going to extraordinary lengths to obtain woods.

The ESP is $4000 as a result of marketing & the fact it has Tom's signature behind it.ESP dont have access to some exotic alder that others dont.That's a fact,not an opinion. :wink:

Well again u speak about warwick,
i belive then warwick usees best quality wood and if warwick make alder bass it will be good bus but it's won't cost 400 $anyway
but i am toking about rockbass,
But i can't belive that rock bass can use very qualyty alder and sell this basses so cheap..... :?
ESP Tom Aray signature cost morte then 4000$ but rock bass corvette basic about 400$,
so i think you wrong
