hi everyone...I own an Infinity NT(5 String) and have a problem with no sound output on the guitar....I put in a new 9 Volt battery...guitar cable good..amp fine...works with my other Thumb NT.
is it possible it could be pre amp?
Any suggestions on what could be wrong would certainly be appreciated.

thanks..Cheers..

I'd check all the wires to make sure they're connected. If this doesn't work, there is a switch-like thing that will adjust the output of the bass. Someone here has a photo of it that will help. If neither of these fix it, I would suggest rewiring. It's not too hard and the results are great!

Everything's plugged in and connected, and volume knobs
are where they're supposed to be, right?

I only ask because I used to work in customer service, and
you wouldn't believe the amount of calls I received cursing
my products when the installer didn't know right was tight
and lose was left.

:D

What I'm saying is, use trickle down mechanics, eliminate
all possibilities before going to extremes.

Welcome to the forum Jack.
Do you have sound in passive mode?

Check the simple stuff first, and start with the jack plug. I had a similar thing years ago with my bass, it went from fine to dead almost instantly. I have a habit of standing on leads and I suspect over time it just got more and more knackered - in fact it's doing it again now so I'll be fixing it soon.
If you move the plug around do you hear anything at all? At the moment mine's going from completely dead to working fine depending on how I twist the plug in the socket.

Great forum guys1...thanks for all your suggestions...will let you know how I make out.

Cheers...

Tighten the neck bolts ! ! !

.... and welcome.
