I bought a used '97 corvette standard about two months ago. It was working fine until the other day when it started making loud buzzing sounds. With further inspection, it seemed the jack was loose and one of the wires that attaches to the jack was disconnected. I tightened the jack and placed the wire back were it should be and it works now (with some minor humming depending on were I position the knobs). There are two wires connected to the jack a green one and a plain silver one (which is the one that came disconnected). So im thinking i should probably solder the disconnected wire back to the jack... correct?
