Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows what the power output is at 8Ohms with the Xtreme 5.1 and 10.1? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Cheers,

dave.

Hey dave.
The output is 4 ohms. If you use 8 ohms cabinet, you will lose about 30% from the rated power of your amp.

Sorry, if I'm wrong, but do you mean that you will LOSE about 30% of the power that is available for 4 ohms?

yes that's what he meant. In any case, our amps are rated at 4 Ohms.

Some people only like running their amps at 8ohms, they claim they sound better or something.

In anycase, an Xtreme 10.1 running at 8 ohms should still be loud enough to blow your socks off

It does me. At 8 Ohms, volume around 4-5, it makes my teeth rattle. Seriously

Thanks all for the discussion and info. I will initially only be running 1 cab and obviously wanted to make sure what parameters I was working within.
