I don't know if this could lead down the wrong path, but I am just curious, please no one take this out of hand, respect peoples opinions.

i've had too many stupid discussions lately regarding politics to want to take part.

I vote Ross Perot for now.

This can, and will go no where good.

This is among the big two categories
that ALWAYS fail on forums. Sorry bud.

While it was a toss up between Florian and Trujo777, I voted Trujo because of his work with veterans. Then again I considered Eberbachl as a write in.

I feel that in the end who ever gets put in office will just get pulled around by
other influences more powerful then himself. I feel that our president doesn't
have as much power as we think he does. I think that if we were to throw
another old white guy in office that we could only expect more BS to come
out of our government. I guess in the end it would be nice to see something
that could show our social progression. I would like to be able to say
that I lived when the first black president was voted into office. As far as
what he will actually do when he gets there... I don't know. Like I said I think
there's more going that we don't know about and that we would see the
same results if there was no president. I feel that the president is just a face
to put on our government and I would like to see Obama's face for at least
four years in comparison to that walking scrotum sack.

Sorry for the rant. I think that people take politics to seriously when (I feel)
they don't even know what's really going on. Not to say that I do either.

You actually hit a couple points that I agree with totally. First the President doesn't have as much power as people think. At least to get things done. On the other hand, he has all the power to stop things he doesn't like/want. The presidents power to veto legistration is an enormous power. And his power to use the military without the approval of the congress or the senate is also pretty scary. I also agree with you about being influenced. All politicians are to some extent.

The issue of a black president and/or a female VP is definately gonna make this election historic. I pray that we have evolved to a state where if Obama either gets elected or doesn't get elected it has nothing to do with his race or Pailens gender for that matter. But I'm afraid that will be a big part of this election. Just saying you hope that he gets elected so that you were alive when the first black became president goes to prove his race is playing a part. I'm not saying that is the only reason you would vote for him. Your next to last statement clearly shows you want nothing to do with McCain, so I understand where your coming from. But I have seen/read so much about if you don't vote him your a racist and on the other side, if you do vote for him its just because he's black. (reverse racism) The current economic problems at least seems to have taken an little of the race/sexism out of the question for a lot of voters and actually put a real issue in the mix to judge the candidates by.

This election will be interesting, that is for sure. What I am most worried about is that its such a close race that it may end up in somekind of controversy and I'd really hate to see that. To his credit, Obama is pushing hard to win every vote he can get to ensure a clear victory while it appears that McCain will be happy to just sqeak by.

But what really erks me... We don't have a single musician in the race. At least Bill Clinton was a Sax Player.

Peace

I think the whole process of voting is BS. Who's it gonna be the puppet on the left or the puppet on the right? And besides, whoever is really running things (the man behind the curtian) will make whoever they want to be president, president. The whole election is a big masquarade so the people feel as though they have a say as to what goes on in this country. Just look at the past 2 elections where Bush "won." He didn't really win either election but still became President. All I'm saying is not only does the President have less power then we think, but we also have less power then we think to elect a President. I'm voting NizzRooster for President. NIZZROOSTER '08!!!

I guess when I was saying when I said that I wanted to see the first black pres. go into office was that I feel that it doesn't matter who goes in cuz certain things are going to happen weather there is a monkeyor a carrot as our president. I do like Obama and his thinking more than McCain but how much of those great ideas are going to come true when he gets in office. I guess I just don't have much faith in our presidents so I would like to see something different happen this time instead of the same old crap. I also think that there would be a lot of people who would expect McCain to just continue you the mess that Bush has created and that people would expect Obama to make a big change in whats going on. Thats why I like Obama. I think this would put more pressure on Obama and anyone who is "on his side" that is working of the government to make changes. I don't think there would be as much pressure for McCain to do the same.

This is exactly what I'm saying. Thats why I'm saying that if I had to pick Obama or McCain that I would pick Obama just to see something different. I don't vote as well. I think that its a waste of time. The fact that Bush stayed in office for 8 years sickens me. I'm not proud to be an American anymore and I sickened by the people who get behind their candidate like they are rooting for their god. I think that there is so many lies and BS that if I were to vote that I would be agreeing with it. Like I said I don't care who is the next president. They are all just puppets. It would just be cool (for social reasons) to see a black president instead of an old white stiff.

I think that the social message of having a black president would be more powerful than the position of the president of the US. I don't think this is racist or reverse racisism. I think that I'm just the kind of person who enjoys social progression. I love the idea that there will be thousands of KKK members at home hating their lives cuz the country they live in will be run by a multiracial man and that they can't do anything about it.

I believe that the president is controlled by a higher power, but they have a better chance then anyone to change the hierarchy of this country, which I think that we really need to do. WARWICK FORUM CALLS THE SHOTS   I'm if I could vote I would vote for Obama, I really think that Hilary, or Baiden, would of been great presidents. The problem is those Neo-Nazis but I won't get into that now. I'm hoping that if Obama gets ellected that it might say something for everybody being equal.

The next step is a transgender person. Fingers crossed everyone.

Wouldn't it be cool if Obama had both organs. Then it would be a really statement. A good piss in the eye to the ignorant.

Or, actually I do hope for this, A gay, black, woman president, just for the same reasons of thndrstk

I think that is relevant here

Yeah she could also have no arms or legs so she would be handicapped as well. That would be a real social victim.

sure, whatever they look like, as long as they have potential to be a good president

Isn't it Biden instead of Baiden?

And my vote goes for RON PAUL. I sincerely think this dude could have save America. He had a GREAT vision.

Luckily tho, Obama is no too bad either.
