I'm under the impression that the P-NUT II has the same pickups and electronics as the Streamer Jazzman? Correct?

Do all the 3 band electronics have the input attenuator that I have seen and used on my thumb, as my P-NUT II doesn't have the attenuator?

Is it only on basses with the 3-band and active pickups maybe?

:?:

I was told that the P NUT 2 were the same ones as the FNA Jazzman. I got a set off ebay (elecs and pickups and knobs...te whole deal even the jack input) and I called Dana B and they told me that they were the same ones as the FNA Jazzman.

I could be wrong and they might be for Streamer Jazzman but this is the answer they gave me when I asked them to send me the wiring schematics to give my luthier to get them installed.

Hope this helps.

maybe they are the same I have not compared the Streamer Jazzman and the FNA Jazzman

I just checked warwick.de and the wiring for the FNA Jazzman and Streamer Jazzman are the same. I compared both instruments and their specs in general are the same but their pricetags and shape of the bodies are so different.

Does anybody know why?

The same Corvettes and Streamers are in general different. The streamers are heavily contoured, and that require more labour, so it's more expensive. In general, the electronics and woods don't vary so much.

If the streamers were not so contoured, just slabs they would be a lot cheaper (hence the Rockbass Streamer, and the old Streamer Std).

thanks. I thought the big price difference would be for something esle rather than shape and labor included to achieve it but I guess it does not.

so should the 3 band electronics in my P-NUT II have the attenuator or is that only with active pickups?
