Well my new J-A-N III arrived today and i have a question or two.

1. Is there meant to be 3 screws because i only see 2 and 3 holes..

2. When i adjust it do i have to loosen the strings?, take them off all together? or can i just leave them in tun on the bass.

I think thats it really.

Weird, there's only two holes in my JAN3
And theres no need to take the strings off or take them out of tune when you adjust it :)
But you might have to tune when you've adjusted the nut anyway :)

I have a slight problem and so i have another question.

I took off the trussrod cover to get the base of the JAN II off then glued the JAN III base on. Now i just put the trussrod cover back on and when i put the top of the JAN III on and the edge of the trussrod cover is not slightly inbetween the top and bottom of the JAN III so it doesn't go all the way down.

help? :x

Travis, you have a 6 stringer, you should have 3 screws then...
You don't need to loosen the strings when adjusting, that's the beauty of JAN 3 :-)

Hmm well i seems im missing a screw then ... which is unfortunate ... hmm really not sure what to do about that.

Got it on now and buy the looks of it, it could help my setup problem although I'll find out in the enxt few days exactly how much.

Take the grub screws to the hardware shop & they'll sell you the missing screw Travis.Make sure you take at least a few coins to pay for it.
