I bought my Corvette FNA Jazzman 5 2006@ GC for $1299.00. The price said $1699.00 so I put it on lay-a-way and when I went in to make a payment at the store they said oh your paying a little too much. They gave me change and went and got my bass. I guess the price may have dropped during the time I placed it in lay-a-way and getting it out. They pulled one from the back, still in the box. I wanted to get out of there fast.........

i went over to GC today and found a NT thumb 5 string for $1800, a FNA Jazzman for $1100, a double buck for $1300, and an ash vette for $800.
I was terribly unimpressed with the jazzman though. it was in awful condition and the strings were so dead i have no idea what it should sound like. i loved the $$. I'm kind of iffy on my dream FNA. i need to search out some sound clips.

Precision sound is going to rely solely on the neck pickup. Solo that one and put the switch in the up position to run the humbucker in single coil mode (or whatever is up). after that it's all down to playing style. Also, besides a pickguard, I can't think of any way to prevent from scratching the finish besides not hitting it! Work on accuracy. I've never had that problem before. And the pickguard thing... on a Warwick... that's a no-no.saner said:

"more versatile P-bass". The $$ being
more versatile than the Sterling, and
also cheaper [at the time] went home
with me.
Neither one really nailed the P-tone
but they have an alternate tone, not
hugely different, that can do the job.
And acoarst they offer all that other
variety that a P can't touch. It's as if
real Fender P-bass tone is the result
of a design so narrowly focused that
it can do just one thing, but no bass
with a wider ability can quite follow
down that same road as the P-bass.
