I have a guy that is oferring me a Streamer 1988. what's the price that this bass should go for?

here are some pics.

is this normal to have a 1 piece bridge on this? what are the specs? is this a 2 or 3 band eq?

It probably has a wenge neck. Maple body. EMG pickups, 3-way electronics.
It's a beautiful vintage custom. As for the price, it's really hard. I'd try 1-2000$. But there are people here with better inputs on price than me :)
 
dude that streamer is lovely!!! one piece bridge were normal that time, but i also seen a stageII from 87 with 2 piece bridge and on the other side my 88 thumb nt5 has 2 piece bridge too.... anyway it seems that everything is original!
this bass has probaly a 2-band equalizer in combination with emg-pu. body wood would be cherry with a 3 piece wenge/ 2 thicker cherry veener neck. janI and handcrafted! this is one hell of a funk machine :wink:

price? not the same everywhere! i'd guess 1000usd would be a great deal for both....

as he said. Maybe your bass is older than 1988 cuz of the non angled tuners and one piece bridge. The rest goes as herb telled. I'd say I'd pay max 1600 USD for this, 1000 being a good deal.
 
I will ask him how much he wants for it. he wanted to trade for my THumb and I wanted to know if this was worth doing. the only problem is that it is a 4 string and I love the 5 th string.
 
Dude, Warwick $$'s go for 850$ on ebay. This may be a one in a lifetime opportunity. If you don't buy it I'm sure someone else here will.

haha i know how you feel! i let that streamer go because my new thumb made me lovin' 5er!
but it still hurts man they are getting rare especially the narrow spaced 5er which were build for a short time so far i know.... just can't get along with the todays broadneck :? but still this streamer is one hell of a bass :twisted:
anyway if you really want a streamer then get it! for my taste i would trade with the $$.... but i don't want to push you, it's up to you :wink:
 
its a very nice looking bass but its up to you, i suggest trying it out before making any decisions
 
$$ for the SSI, a deal that can't be passed up. Really, you can go to any guitar center and see about 5 $$'s on the wall. But you could browze ebay for years and not find a pre-angled tuner SSI. DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT!
 
I saw a bass that looked the same at bass emporium and the price they were asking was 1799usd if I remember correct.

I have never played a Streamer but I have read here that theya re good basses and very popular. he is also willing to trade for my Thumb NT

the tuners on this one are horizontal, the warwicks now have tuners with 45 degrees angle with the neck axis.
 
Before the tuners were angled back towards you,they were straight,like Spector.This is a feature of early Warwicks.
Persoanlly,I'd swap the $$ for it but not any of your Thumbs unless you get some cash to sweeten the deal.

This is a sweet bass :-) It could be earlier than 88, I believe that too. Buy!
 
te guy says that there is no serial number so i huess it myust be hiding somewhere in a cavity or inside the trussrod cover i guess. i am still thinking this would be nice but it has EMGs instead of MECs and a 2 band eq. active all the way.
 
Some of the early Warwicks didn't have a sn. The beautiful thing here is that each bass has it's own shape, there are not two alike :-) And I don't know why, but the prices are really low for this vintage Warwicks, so it is a good moment to buy :-)
 
No buddy I have no cash right now and you know this !! :wink:

I talked to the guy of the Streamer and I told him the trade for the $$ is almost a done deal. I just have to listen to the sound of thhese famous Streamers and if I like I will do the trade. I will not let my Thumbs go.... I will have to sell the Streamer to get a new car.

anybody interested in this? feeler....
