    Input crackle?

Hey guys :) I have had my Streamer Stage II for 10 glorious years! I love this bass, so was understandably horrified when the input recently started making atrocious crackles and crunches if the lead get's knocked. (It's definitely not my lead, by the way  ) I'm at a bit of a loss as...

    Streamer CT : opinions,comments,reviews & input...

I'm a NYC bassist, this is my first post here. I've been playing a MM Bongo 4HH for a while, before that, a Sadowsky Jazz.. I found a good deal on a Streamer Chrome Tone, unused & mint. I'm sort of a local session guy, I get hired for various local artists.. And I'm especially busy in the...

    Input Jack Problem

Around last christmas, maybe the second week into december of 2008, with the financial assistance of my Aunt, we went down to Rudy's music shop in order to purchase a bass. (In New York City) After looking around for some time, I set my eye on a Warwick Rockbass, 4 string Fortress. I love this...

    Corvette Input

So my corvette cuts out sometimes when I use certain cables, or when the cable moves in a certain way. I have checked its interns and there does not seem to be a sadering problem, so im curious why it is doing this? (I know it is not the cables they are brand new.). . .then again they could be...

    Gigboard RB23100: Main Input Selector

I've got a Gigboard RB23100 and it has a sticker on the top which says: "Atention: Watch the main input selector". There's no reference in the manual to a "Main input selector". What's that about?

To pad or not to pad (active vs passive input)

Hello all, Thanks for your earlier recommendations and advice. I just got my first 'Wick yesterday. A '99 Thumb NT. Amazing. More on that later. (In another thread) Q: My amp (Aguilar DB39, all tube) has two inputs: active and passive. I tried both, and the Thumb sounds more "articulate" in...

My first post and I could use some input

Hello everyone on the Warwick forum. I'm in the beginning stages of building my own bass and I wanted to confer with those more knowledgeable about some of the finer details of building a bass than myself, of which there seems to be plenty here! Of course if you don't really know a lot that's...

    Input Appreciated

Our band is working on some more covers for a long New Years show - Everyone is gonna suggest a few good songs for dancing to - I know a bunch of them but would like some suggestions - I play with my fingers - No pick and I'm not really into alot of playing slap/pop or tap -

amp with "active" and "passive" input ..

is there really a point for these two seperate input jack? i see them on a lot of amp, mine as well, but is there really a point to have "-6 db" for active input when there is a gain knob? remember we're bassist, not guitarist; so gain does not equal distortation, lol

    Input

Where is the jack input on the hellborg preamp/poweramp? I only see the Lo-Z/Hi-Z input. And that's not a instrument cable :?

Input Jack and potentiometer source of supply?

So I've had the Streamer in my sig for a few months now. It's an amazing bass but ever since I got it it has had output jack issues as well as a bent (I think) stacked bass/pan pot. The pot isn't really an issue as it still works but I'm thinking about replacing it to bring it back to 100%. The...

What can I do about the knobs and input jack??

I just installed a set of Seymour Duncan pickups and a new preamp into my Streamer Stage II. I was kind of disappointed to find that the stacked gold knobs I used to have when the MEC's were there no longer fits because the new pot shaft is too thick. So, I'm left with 3 gold knobs and a bare...

    Thumb into passive input?

HI, My amp has 0db and -6db inputs. I use the active one since the signal coming out of my Thumb BO is hot. I've read an interview with a bassist somewhere on the net and he was saying he never uses passive inputs even with active basses. According to him sound quality decreases with active...

DoubleBuck sounds. (input from all $$ owners required!)

Hi all, Having had my $$NT a few days now. I came looking for a thread that would give me some directions to go in when I take my baby so a few gigs & rehearsals next week. As I couldn't find one, I thought I'd start one! I play all sorts of different styles with various people/groups and...

    HowTo: Exchanging the input jack

Hello everybody, if you have a preoblem with you input jack (signal gets cut, crackling noise etc.), the contacts in your input jack might be worn out, like mine. This can happen very easily when using PlanetWaves cables or similar ones that have a 6.35mm!!! jack. The input jacks on Warwick...

    DI input on Wawick amps?

Hiho, I've recently bought a Phil Jones Bass "Bass Buddy" and it is superb. :-D Thing is, it's a bit on the quiet side so I think I need some power amplification but I don't really want to go for a big rig. What I'm wondering is, does Warwick make any combos with line inputs as well as the...

    Need your input, men

I own a 'vette 5 in bubinga, active. I'm currently using DR Black Beauties. I'd like to switch to a string that'll accompany my bass with lots of mids (I get told I've got a nasty mid scoop going on...can't seem to fix it) and shine through with great harmonics. I want a nice, tight...
