Need a Warwick expert

....... Its not dry but has a waxy build up I'd like to
remove and put a lighter coat on. Especially the neck. .......

The waxy buildup, especially on a basically unused ax,
MIGHT indicate that it's an oil finish ... if you know
what I'm sayin.

Or if you don't, I'm sayin that it came from from a GC
right ? And GC staff are ALWAYS ready to advise new
owners with their best clueless advice ! Like "Oh, they
don't pack wax with them anymore ... but I'll give you
10% off on a can. Just wax it every week for the first
month, and then just 4 times a year .... ".

Or .... I might be wrong. But fact is Warwick packs a
can of wax with new basses that need it ... and NOT
with basses that don't need it.


But ....... "Especially the neck" ? ?

Warwick's official line on the neck is that skin oil from
your hands is MORE than adequate, and that it's really
unnecessary to wax the neck. The current waxy build
up is not an easy sign to read.

See what I'm sayin ? Do start a seperate thread asking
what finish you've got unless someone jumps in here

Bubinga bodied basses are usually oil finished & require waxing.
