ouch. that's sucks man. I guess now is a good time to hone that left hand technique. Hope the recovery is speedy and thorough.

Yeah, I've been having a lot of trouble with my right thumb--a lot of Arthritis in the joint at the base of my thumb. So it was time to have the joint replaced/rebuilt.

I'm hoping to be able to start next year off by being able to write, play fingerstyle guitar again (had to give it up 8 years ago, because of the arthritis), and really take off on my bass playing--or at least a month or two into next year.

well, look on the bright side, at least u can be bill clements for a while ;) merry xmas and i hope you can take it off soon!
 
ouch. we'll be praying for your promt recovery and stop neglecting those basses.

maybe you can resurface your thumb with a polishing cloth and then you can give your basses some TLC :wink:
 
Hmmm...Red Thumb NT with blue "W" ... this should be in the custom shop gallery mates! :)
