Possibly my favorite Stern album. Esperanza on at least two tracks. MMW on a couple too. But my favorites are the ones with Richard Bona.I quite like Mike Stern album “Big Neighbourhood” 2009

I really wanted one of these back then when Stuart Hamm was all the rage.Sometime this week I’ll have this. I have wanted one since the early 90s, finally gonna happen

I saw you!!!!!!!!! Lurking on the Talkbass Spector Owner's Club. Was meaning to say hello and say "Where have you been?" Hoping that all is well- Nice to see you by the way!Sometime this week I’ll have this. I have wanted one since the early 90s, finally gonna happen
Hey man, I’m basically just not online as much. Still playing, and although the Warwicks are no longer front and center, I still love em. Will have to offload some of them as they just don’t get played, but it’s like selling your children lol. I bought a Spector Euro about 2 years ago and that’s my main right now. Idk if the Kubicki will be a great fit for me like Marco said, but I know I can resell it easily if I don’t love it. But what the hell, I’m not getting any younger and figured I’d go for it.I saw you!!!!!!!!! Lurking on the Talkbass Spector Owner's Club. Was meaning to say hello and say "Where have you been?" I recently purchased an Euro LX this January- did you see the post on the Spector Owner's Club? My first one and I'm very impressed but I still love my Warwick's- and I get what you said about being your children. Anyhow it's good to hear from you!Hey man, I’m basically just not online as much. Chuck Levin’s in Maryland has lots of Spectors. They get custom Euros every year. If you text with them they will work with ya in price. They knocked off like $450 for mine when I bought it. They have a chat on their site so you can reach out if anything ever catches your eye thereSuper cool and very unique- speaking of cool I wanted a cooler more subdued finish than a lot of the Euros come in.
Actually let slip by a pristine poplar burl CST model on eBay because it was a bit bright for me- it even had a Hipshot Xtender and Haz Labs preamp clone as upgrades- for 2100.00 USD asking price taking a best offer. It lasted about ten hours-
Regarding the Kubicki- I considered it but was wanting fretless back then. Actually emailed Phil and he had the kindness to email me back stating that all he had in stock was a yellow fretted model.
So what put you on to Spectors? For me it was a fondness for the bass sound on Queensrÿche’s “Jet City Woman” and a beginner level Ibanez SR200 bass with a reverse PJ configuration that bore a hint of that sound. Actually a decent little bass for the money but I was looking for something with a bit smoother action and more refinement in tone-Chuck Levin’s in Maryland has lots of Spectors.
