incoming Corvette $$!

I think gold will look good on pretty much any oil colour finish. I can picture it with blue and green. I wish I would have gone with antique tobacco though :) That and gold look like a great combination.

BTW, since the strings lost a bit of their brightness and have a less rough feel, I really like the sound of the thing. Not the typical warwick growl, but really lively, snappy, and dig in and it has that farty, dirty sound. That thing just begs to be abused. It sounds great with my GK amp.
 
@saxonbass: oh yes...I know, it will be worth the wait!
I love it, to go to my local musicstore to play a warwick (mostly the $$) :P
And photos will follow then...but I think you all know how a $$ looks like :D

they're all slightly different and indervidual...so they're all well worth a photo :wink:

Ian had one for sale, but I think it's gone. A 'Darth Vader' one, all black. Check on the offer section from time to time.
 
Nope it's not gone yet, but I have a frenchie on the bass , and the guy's ready to come and get the bass, so it would avoid shipping...


If the guy doesn't take the bass, I'm open to any proposal. (Though waiting till August is way too long, I need money for my CS Streamer :D )
 
Yes, I had an eye on Ian´s $$...but I agree with him, that it would take too long for him to wait for my money until August...I hope there is another $$ around July/August somewhere ( maby in the offer-section)
 
It's so beautiful! dang the hardware just accentuates the colour even more!

now if only the pole pieces were gold as well....
 
Anyone else noticed the pole pieces dont match the strings 100%? Is that fixable? I've heard you can set the bridge string spacing, that would be cool. Gonna have to dig out the user manual.
 
Yeah I noticed that too... Kinda weird but it sounds so...

I did the calculations, and the standard spacing on warwicks is 16mm (6.4 / 4). The pole piece are at a standard 17mm (6.8 / 4). So that explains. That might also explain why they went with the different pickup on the NT, which is the same as the FNA, and seems to have a tighter spacing for the poles.

I've stretched the spacing a little bit, but not too much so I don't spill over the fingerboard, and it's better, but still not 100%. The stringa are 17.25 mm :) at the bridge, so it's good on on the first row of poles on the bridge, and gets worse as you move towards the head. Quite obvious, since the string spacing shrinks quite rapidly. I guess it's a flaw typical of all HH configurations, you would have to have two different pickups to accommodate with the width at the nut being smaller. :D

Anyone sees a problem with doing that? It's stretching a bit far on the G, but It's ok as far as the fretboard is concerned.
