Thanks for the verses and your prayers. I find my time in the Word to be very comforting and my time on my basses and in this forum to be very lifting to my spirit! :D

Over the last 2 weeks i had to buy me a pocket size Bible to bring at work so i have npo excuse not to read it on my breaks and lunch. i need that. bass talk is good but i need to also soak in before i can give. You know what i mean.

I actually have a full Bible and study library contained on my PocketPc that I carry with me everywhere I go. I always say I'm plugged into my Bible and I have to keep my Bible plugged in! :lol: It's actually been a conversation starter as well, so I get to keep up with my studies and share my faith.

As for the hospital, I've been out and back home since the 19th, but I can only get comfortable sleeping on the couch until the area where they inserted my pace maker (or as one guy called it, my "bass maker") heals.

At least my basses and rig are near by and with the time off work, I have some extra time to work with some of my bass lesson books and DVDs. There's positives in everything that comes along. :D

It's great though that you have a positive outlook on life... I found that having a positive outlook and having positive people around you has a huge effect on your health. Not to mention you have God on your side, and nothing beats that.

A little word of encouragement... In 2006 my wife was hospitalized with a brain abscess, The result was she lost use of her right hand/arm. She also had a stroke a few years before that and still doesn't have use of her left arm/hand. After about a week in the hospital she was sent home... Alot of praying, taking care of her and keeping her happy... She regain use of her right arm/hand and is back to her normal (as normal as she could get :P ) It was amazing how all this brought the family a bit closer along with how much the church helped out us.

Also, you may have noticed my post about the tendonitis... I injured my hand big time back when I was 10 and lost function of my left hand. After a couple of hours under the operating table and some microsurgery they managed to re-attach everything and about 6-8 months later I had use of my hand again.

I could really go on and on about either my injuries, or my wifes medical problems and how the Lord has watched over us this whole time and in the end everything worked out...

I believe though that whatever the outcome, You'll be fine and back to playing some bass.

Thanks, that's some good encouragement, and I don't want to ever forget that there are others who are suffering as well who need my prayers. My prayers go out to you and your wife. God is good and He is watching over you too.

Right now, it looks like maybe 2 months, but I'll get a better idea Friday when I follow up with my cardiologist.

I'm enjoying the time off, but it's no vacation, as I have almost daily visits to different doctors. :shock:
 
wow. as said earlier will keep you in my prayers. can i have your name and place where you live (no address and don't worry i will not come and snatch your gear) so we can put it in the prayer meeting ? if you don't want to disclose it here send me a PM with it. keep me posted on the results so we can keep lifting your name in prayers according to your needs. do you have short time disability? how are you managing your bills?

No problem. My name is Mark Robison and I live in sunny Glendale, Arizona. I do have short term disability (medical leave of absence), so I am still getting paid from work while I'm off, for up to 6 months. Insurance is covering 80% of the bills and I have a max out-of-pocket of $5600, so this whole mess is only costing me my two dream basses worth of money! :lol:
Actually, I have $3500 in a health savings account that I can put towards my expenses...
 
thanks mark. i will add your name in the prayer container we keep at church. we have prayer meetings everyday of the week at night time and the atendees also pray for the requests put in that container in addition to this i will ask for prayer in our weekly masive prayer meeting. prayer works and we have witnessed several healings and miracles after doing this in this particular meeting because we go with all the congregation name by name, need by need so i am trusting The Lord He will help you through all this mess.

i am glad you have STD this is something people always reject at their employment but they learn their lesson not to rejecti it sadly but many times by going through these tough times. This STD many times is just a couple of bucks/week and now you can see it is well worth it. My wife had been refusing it for the $3.25 it was costing her and when i attended her benefits meeting I explained how this works and signed up for it too. it i well worth it. and for the poeple that ready this, I would also encourage you all to enroll in these programs. the few extra money it will cost you will not even buy you a combo meal at McDonald's but will take care of your major bills in case of illness in these times of health problems.

can you tell I work in healthcare and see these cases everyday?
 
I had my bone marrow biopsy this morning. The procedure was completely painless, but now the numbness is wearing off and I have quite a bit of pain and discomfort in my rear/hip where they took blood and 1 cm piece from the bone. Gonna be hard to sleep comfortably tonight!

I'll get the results in 2 weeks and tomorrow I see my cardiologist to get a better idea of how long I'll be off work - which means more time with my Warwicks. :D Gotta have something to take my mind off the pain!
 
take it easy man, you might want to get some aleve or ibuprofen for the pain i mean they took some bone, OW, im glad to see everything is going well, good luck man
 
I'm glad you had the biopsy done today Mark. I am also glad they suggested this before it is too late (in case there is something in there that should not be and most of the time these things get diagnosed too late) so i am glad they are running their stuff now.

We will continue to lift you up in prayers.
