I am maybe buying a Warwick? i have some few questions .

Well, differnt strokes for differnt folks. Ive tried the $$ and my ears dissagree with it.

They do that to guitars also to make the action feel better. GC is notorious for this, and of course they don't tell the customers. Taknig your own tuner is great advice...

I'm not in anyway suggesting that the $$ is in anyway the right bass for the sound he wants, only his ears can be the judge of that. I'm just saying I have spent countless hours with my $$ and I can get a ton of different sounds...

I read an article on it somewhere. After reading it I had them restring an acoustic guitar I was looking at buying and I watched them tune it 1/2 step down. If I hadn't seen the article I probably wouldn't have noticed...
 
Yeh... all the basses I tried were in tune with themselves, but downtuned! Just take a tuner and you're sorted!

By the way, Doc... prolines are definitely on my audition list for the future!

Was it a 6 string you were looking for if I remember correctly ??
 
No... strictly 4 string at that point. I have mentioned 6 strings before, though... it's one of those ideas for the "dream bass" :D

A 6 string will also be on my audition list for the future... just to see whether it's for me or not. Don't "need" one in my current band... but when did "need" ever come into it? :wink:

Men....... very simple Buy the $$, its and amazing bass this guys help me out whit the same desition you are about to make about 2 or 3 weeks ago... yust get the $$ in your hands you will not regreat it!

in my (limited) experience sound control does this also. not bashing SC salford in the slightest (its an awsome shop) but the basses were all downtuned.

Yeh! that's where I had my "experience". Don't regard it as a problem... as long as you're aware if it! We are hoary old Warwick players, after all (erm... speaking for myself on that one!) :wink:
