Hi Justin! i agree what everybody has said before, you got a great job. surely good to see the reactions to your post, oh yeah i forgot: they are all warweirdo's over here and the most of us have some serious GAS disorder :)

I wouldn't expect anything less! Thanks. I get frequent GAS pains as well. Right now my pedalboard is looking at a $700 Makeover and that's just for 3 pedals!
 
Whoa nelly! I'd love to get into some pedals, I actually wanted to head out to Sam Ash and Gaytard Sinner today, but didn't want to make the 91 mile treck alone. (The in dash dvd can literally only hold a fraction of my attention, and none of the friends wanted to go to "church" with the exception of the two mis-fortunate enough to be working this warm Sunday)

So I'll just sit in today, play through the power mixer/Ampeg stack I have and drool over the same stuff I have been for weeks... Peavey VB-2, Tech 21 pedals, Line 6 Lowdown 750, Proco Rats, and some (of)Fender stuff... *sigh* another wasted day. (I think I feel a song coming upon myself... haha)

I'm looking at a Zvex Woolly Mammoth a Pigtronix Philosopher King. Maybe an aggressive envelope filter... I might have to run 2 1Spots to power it all. But YES! This is what i'm workin with.

My theory behind it is that when keyboard players started to replace bassists for hip hop/R&B gigs... We had to learn synths, buy $3000 minimoogs and learn new things. and we've taken it back. but i'm not abandoning my strings, so i want to be able to use my instrument as a synthesizer but in the same exact format that i've come to love. So i try to get all tones a Moog or synth bassist can get with the tap of a toe instead of having a seperate rig.

Having John Davis of Nerve as your teacher nerds you out a bit when it comes to that stuff. but yeah! on i push to a full pedalboard.

Or do I?... Anyone? Lol
 
I have an EBS octave pedal... that's as far as i got... It's okay, not bad tracking, but the OC2 masters the square wave tone.

I've got the Micorbass 2 and the UniChorus.... The Microbass is sweet cause it's 2 channeled and doubles as a headphone amp for quite late night jamming. The UniChorus is probably one of the best sounding chorus pedals I've ever owned (and I've had a lot of them). EBS definitely makes some quality gear and IMHO worth checking out.
 
EBS make great pedals at great prices, built in Sweden.
 
I've always wanted to try the Bootsy Collins signature wah just because it looks awesome
 
If great prices means high then you're definitely right Sam. However, me being a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and having been turned off to efx for the majority of my seven year stretch as bass player because of cheapie ones, allows me to see that these are some serious towers of tone.

Not to even mention, the majority of the black label pedals all feature TWO knobs! Yup, count'em, ONE, TWO!!! I hate knobs on pedals, and it looks like EBS has done it right.

I just wish I had somewhere near me to try them out. The ValveDrive has me rethinking whether I want a pure tube head, or just this pedal! And the MetalDrive/MultiDrive has me foaming at the mouth... maybe I should just start an Ebs thread, inatead of hijacking Justin's. :twisted:

Start the thread Ryan, there's enough EBS users on the forum to make it a viable resource.

I cant see the pics you posted,but I tracked down your facebook page from the properties,& also,a shop that had it up for sale at some point.


She's a stock stage 1,flamed maple neck & body,wenge fingerboard.
 
What kinda of Dolphins do you have in stock at the custom shop? any 5 strings or perhaps 6 string dolphin?
