Hello from the Warwick NYC Custom Shop!

The shop is in the states.
That's why it's called, the NYC custom shop.:lol:

Oh, I get it. I thought NYC meant North Yorkshire County, England. You know: fish, chips, cup o'tea, bad weather, worse food, Mary f***ing Poppins. England.

:d

Actually, I meant it to be more of a facetious statement because it seems like all Warwick stuff comes from Euroland with no availability here without exorbitant shipping costs. But I like the way you think, Greg.

You can order Warwick relatively easily here, have your Dealer contact the US Distributor-Hanser. They have a good crew there, and have been helpful to me in getting delivery of a special-order Thumb and the Hellborg System. Not everything all the time, but in general-you should be able to have your order processed with expedience.

When I needed to contact them directly, they took care of business for me.

@RealDeal - ur looking kinda irish in that picture with the hat, and the inability to see the sun.

Im gonna try and convince my friend to pick up a wick and see the light as well

That pic was taken on the Cliffs of Mohar, in Ireland. Foggy Day, bought the cap IN Ireland; (and an awesome sweater), forgot where; Outside Dublin I think.

Loved it. the Countyr is da BOMB!
Me & Nancy Lee, we toured from Dublin, to Ballyshannon, to Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Connemarra, Galway, Kilkenny, Waterford, back to Dublin.

How kewl was that? Way cool.Saw Irish Football too! Nuts!
I want to bring my R&B Project over there to play; I have a GREEN Thumb Bass that would be just the ticket!!

ya i went to ireland once, like 6 years ago, can hardly remember it. but, i do get to march in the saint patty's day parade every year cuz my moms from Wicklow, Ireland

In Killarney: Had our best irish meal (one of 'em anyway) Fresh trout, potatoes, etc. Saw an amateur club playing Irish Football, pretty bad-ass.
Heard some pretty kewl Celtic music in town, then-
While Nancy Lee shopped for linen & stuff, I walk into this Record/music shop, and they have a few guitars AND--- a Bass!
A copy of a StingRay! So I ask the beautiful Irish girl working there- Her name was Siobhan- If I could play it & I hook it up to a guitar amp, an Epiphone, which was all they had.
I tune that sucker up, and start playing some finger-funk, and Siobhan starts checking me like I was from another World...
"I've never HEARD that!" She says. "What?! You've never heard a Bass Guitar??! What about U2 and the Cranberries, etc?? They're from Ireland!" I say.

"No" she says, she has not- she's played the bohdrain, and is probably from a very traditional Irish Family I guess. Killarney is countryside as opposed to say Dublin, which is the kewlest city in the World, one of 'em anyway.

Did I mention-that like a lot of Irish Women, Siobhan is gorgeous? And they have a bearing and 'tude that...well never mind! I'm attached...!

So later- Me & Nancy Lee are at the local pub, and Siobhan must have got off work, 'cause she comes in with about 3 other bee-yootiful Irish 20-year old girlfriends, and brothas, they are SMOKIN'!!!!!

...They're all talking on their cellphones, like little hotties all over the World do, and she sees me and smiles, and I say "Hey! Shiv! What's Up?!"

And her girlfriends look at her like...."How do YOU know that American Chap?" "What's going on here?"

...I mean it was pretty obvious that we weren't locals and all... Too funny.

IRELAND- fantastic.

great story RealDeal, if you have more stories like that, keep them coming...

so what happened to the stingray copy? :P

LOTS of stories!!!
Short one- We were in Ballyshannon, quaint little town, and I was talking to our host about Celtic Music; how it had a "groove" that
felt like pocket R&B, Jazz, and Blues...
I said' Yeah, like our American Roots Music!"

And he (our host) looks at me and says" "I think it's the OTHER way around!"
He's right!

The copy 'Ray- I actually posted about it on the MM forum, and was told that it is in fact an "illegal" design copy (trademark infringement; headstock 3+1 etc.) of an Ernie Ball MM product, and they constantly have to try and shut down copies like that.

That particular bass was OK, no Stingray, but playable. And through an Epiphone guitar amp...Well, let's just say it ain't no Hellborg System!!8:

one of the friends we were going with couldnt go cuz of 9/11 and such, so we just called it off. =(
