Fretless Corvette 4 Std.

I have a chance of buying a used fretless Corvette 4 string Std. for a reasonable amount. The bass is flawless just under $700.00. No scratches and no dents. Would $700.00 be worth it? Or should I just but a new one for $1040.00.

My local GC has a new one right now for $799, of course it's on the wall like a demo, but all their basses are bought right off the wall...

I think I will contact the GC we have here in Houston Texas and see what deal I can make with them. I just bought my Vette Jazzman from them 2 weeks ago.
