Fastest CS delivery ever? - My Infinity is ready :-)

Yes the piezo adds more varity to the sound than the extra J PU I would say. Good luck with that as well / mats

It is a real beuty and quite light weight as well. There are two issues:

I ordered it without fretmarks but probably because I used the word "fretmarks" that slipped through. This is not the CS bad though.
The second thing that I am not used to is that the dots on the side of the fretboard is in the regular position as on a fretted bass. When we build basses ourselves we put the dots in the fret position.

Otherwise she feels very nice and sings great acoustically. The piezo will add even more attack. Will just change strings (never liked the Warwick ones) and then she will be ready for great deeds :lol: :lol:

This is not the first time that I notice a CS mistake... I hope they won't miss anything on mine :oops:
 
Never been a fan a fan of the infinity, but with the f cuts and the lam body, and fretless....! That is DEFINITELY the BEST looking infinity I have ever seen. Congrats mala, I would LOVE to hear a sound clip of a tasty bass line on that thing.

I want to congratulate you again mala. That is really one of the most beautiful Infinities I've seen. One question though:

Can you actually see the lines on the fretboard from the side? I heard that they're inlays (made of maple) so they should be visable from the side. If you can does this mean it's easier for you to find the beginning / end of a fret than with the dots at the position where the lines are at?

OK... I just double checked the infos Thomann were supposed to give to the CS (thru my account on Thomann.de) and everything's fine so in the end I hope everything will be cool...

Mala mate... That Infinity is definatly a killer bass !
 
Nope, cannot see them :-) It has to be quite bright if it will be possible. I am confused by the dots and would probably have been better without them, especially when I have a 4, a 5 and a 6-string fretless with the dots in the fret position. The best thing is probably to put on the sunglasses, dim the light and go by feeling :lol:

Really hope your CS bass wil come through as good as you expect (or even better). Ant thanks, it is a very nice looking bass, the woods is even nicer than I expected. And another good thing. I cannot sell it because of the name plate :lol:
 
I wouldn't mind getting that bass even with the name plate...

That bass is beautiful.... the woods look terrific and it's fretless. Outstanding!! Congrats and hope you enjoy.
 
Well, it's nice to have a Warwick signature model but I guess that my "stealth" fretless bass is my real signature. That is an all black (even back of neck) fretless bass with integrated ramp and pickups. It's soooo hot.
And MALA stand for Mats Laveborn (me)

Well, "MALA" in Spanish means "BAD" (feminine form). So it would probably be as easy to sell as the Dirty Blonde. :lol: But I guess in your case it's just your signature :D

Congrats! Absolutely awesome! If the lines and dots bug you too much, just send it here! I actually considered getting my fretless with the dots the way you want them, but I tried a f*nder with that and it wasn't for me... But if I had to choose again I'd get one without any lines or dots, I'm borrowing a double bass at the moment and it's actually not as difficult as I thought it would be!
But again, kudos to the bass! The flame maple is just great!

Hi Mats... not as crazy as it sounds... practising with sunglasses. I spent hours yesterday practising my fretless in the dark. When I'm standing in a dark corner at a gig, the dots disappear anyway... then you look up at the lights and you see dots everywhere :wink:
 
After looking at the bass a few more times, I have to say that the Infinity, in my opinion, is the best looking Warwick there is!

BTW in croatian MALA means little, feminine form. Mostly used for girls

"Grym" in Swedish is "mean". Often used to enhance an expression.
