The flamin' blonde is hot! I wonder if it comes in a 5 string? They didn't mention that on the site unless I missed it somewhere.
 
it does come with 5 strings, but no left hand or fretless :D

That dark lord is growing on me... although it would be better in 5 or 6-strings... :twisted:

Did I miss something about the taranis? It seems to be a scaled down fna jazzman. No mids or coil tapping. I love the jazzman and all but I just don't see this one as innovative other than the way the 4 string is tuned. I do like the Ltd 2007. If it has a curved body like the streamer or thumb, I'll make it my business to get one as the new woods will no doubt be awesome. I need to see it from different angles. Either way the Warwicks that have been out for a while are still on my list. (still dreaming of a Stage 2 - 5-string). I'm not trying to insult anyone who is feeling the taranis but the forum is for an exchange of honest opinions and clarity. So with that said I would like to know where the Inspiration for design comes from, is it based on demand or an individuals' concepts? Long live Warwick!

The Taranis is setup in a BEAD tuning for the 4 string versions, and BEADG tuning for the 5 string version. The finish is also different, its sort of a sandblasted feelinr if I recall correctly.

The Taranis has also passive electronics, and 700euros less on the list price...

Personally I find those 700 euros very attractive... :p
 
I'll be watching my local GC for one to show up. Hey Jan, when you say passive electronics do you mean passive pups with an active pre-amp or does this bass not need a battery at all?
 
passive pups and passive electronics, so no batteries...
 
it has three knobs...is it two tone or a tone and a p'up pan?
