EMP's ARE THE SH1T!11!!1!!

Sorry for the all caps, but man, I really love these. Just put a set on my jazz bass and god these strings makes me get the EXACT same tone I was dreaming to get on the Fender. It is the 5th set of 5 different companies I try, and they are by far my favourite. The last set was DR hi beam which I really liked, but I friggin' fell in love with the EMP's.

I do not want to brag but...... I told you ;)

they are awesome.

about the roughness on latter posts on this thread they are waaaay softer than Rotosounds and I have no way to tell the difference between the Black labels and EMPS in sound or feel.
;)

For purchase of EMP's BL's, RL's stateside, why not check out RocketMusic!?

(I know you're not in the 'States man, just thought I'd plug a fellow forumer's shop :D)

I live 20 miles north of Boston...last time I check we were still part of the union!;)

I love the tone of the EMP's, they just murder my fingers though.

If anyone in the UK wants to buy a couple of sets of EMPs, I have 2 sets of 45-105 for sale! ;)

Not my bag as I prefer Nickels.

As a recent convert to EMP's after a dissapointing 1st try, i love 'em! I used to use red labels, which are still a good string, but tha EMP's life is superior (obviously!) I get 3-4 X more life out of these & have had a set on my thumb bass since late november & after nearly 20 gigs are just losing their 'zing'.
How much do you want for the strings warwickhunt? PM me & i'll give them a good home.....

I get mine at Sam Ash. You can also get them off of several eBay stores if you want to save a couple bucks and don't mind the wait.

I've only just discovered the joy of BLs (I replaced the strings on my 'vette with Elites as soon as I got it - they've been my string of choice for nearly 20 years).

I'd like to try EMPs next, but how do they stand up to plectrums? A set of Elixirs a friend got me to try went "fluffy" within weeks.

It's not that kind of coating - you can't see it or feel it. it's in fact more a chemical than a physical coating, as far as i remember. (some molecular thing)
So a plec shoudn't do any harm to it.

I've been playing EMPs for like 2-3 years now and I still love them. Only need like 2 sets a year instead of 4 with the BLs.
