"local" is just 130 km far from where I live actually so I'll have to go one more time (except if I order it today) cause it's impossible to order CS basses on their web site (which is perfectly logical...)
 
Please not I've been able to order a CS bass through Thomann.de ... I just mailed the guitar service and kept in touch with the same seller all along the process...

well, saturday report... got it!
Tried the corvette $$ this saturday in Köln ,natural finish, and it just blew me up! Couldn't resist, I had to take the little beauty home. I've been dreaming to get one and got all the information everywhere I could (mainly here :D ) for weeks, and now she's mine.
She's definetly got the sound I was looking for! Even though there weren't very good trial conditions : the shop was packed with people trying basses and guitars everywhere and a kind of "bass hero" who kept trying basses very loud from the moment I entered the shop 'till I came out!
Anyway, the guy told me that he barely kept $$ more than a week they're really popular, well I'm one addict more.

Just one thing about the (very good) rock bag: is that normal that the bass is equiped with security locks but there aren't any for the strap inside the bag? However, there was a label on the head explaining how to fix the screws on the strap? Any explaination? Do I have to get the strap locks separetly? In this case I'll have to hurry cause I've got a concert on Wednesday... If I knew this before I would have bought some yesterday.... Anyway : I'VE GOT A WARWICK ALL FOR ME!!! :D :twisted: :shock:
 
The security locks are usually in there somewhere... look in every pocket on the gig-bag... also look in the little pocket for the warwick wax which is in the folder-type toolkit... that's where mine were hiding!

Note: If you've got an oil-coloured finish (like nirvana black)... there won't be any wax... but look in the pocket any way!

By the way: I know how bad it is to play basses in the musik store in Köln. Always full of hectic peole...

same thing for me..when i bought my nbk $$ the straplocks were in the wax pocket :D
 
So were they for me ! ouf! I found them with the wax though I already looked inside once I only found them on the second time... kinda weird place, isn'it? :shock: In a so well packed rockbag and user kit with so many pockets the strap locks could have been anywhere...

I begining to get used to the bass I find it a bit difficult to use the plectron not too close to the bridge but without touching the pickups neither.
