Corvette $$ vs Streamer $$

I would like to know what is the difference between the corvette $$ and the streamer $$, basically what sound difference if there is. I have seen the 5-string models in both cases and it seems they have the same electronics.

I A/Bed the 2 fairly extensively a couple months ago. They sound very similar. The maple neck (Streamer) might make for a slightly more transparent tone than ovangkol (Corvette), but they both have ash bodies...
 
They are very similar instruments in terms of sound, I would say the Streamer with the maple neck is brighter, but then again it has a bigger body, so it counteracts the effect of the maple neck a bit.
 
That's a great point about the body mass of the Streamer...

All of the $$ basses have a ton of punch and growl. But because of the difference in body and neck woods, there's a definite range of tone from deep/dark to a more low-midrange with more clarity. That range would probably look something like this:

Corvette $$ (ash/ovangkol BO)
Streamer $$ (ash/maple BO)
Corvette $$ NT (ash/maple NT)
Corvette $$ NT (bubinga/maple NT)
 
Last time I played a Streamer $$, I found it mellow sounding, compared to the Corvette.
 
I would imagine the Ovangkol Neck n the Corvette $$ gives it a bit more growl than the Maple neck on the streamer $$

I've, er, heard that the nice contoured shape is good at fitting close to the body and disguising any hint of a paunch that the bass player might have... :)

Unlike the enormously wide Gibson Grabber that I've got... er, I mean that I've seen played, which has a tendency to stick out at a weird angle.
