From what i've seen of the specs, it's indeed all passive...
Still, a more affordable version of the Jazzman, in 35" scale, is a welcome beast... (although I'm not sure about the scale...)
 
Stacked pots are certainly possible, but it doesn't look like it in the picture.

Also, I can't tell if it's 34" or 35" scale from the picture either, it's just too small of a shot...

It sounds to me like Lex and Jan might be onto something here.

Lex, you have to ask your front of house engineer what the magic frequency is, and pass on the information.

That way our "significant others" might let us practice louder and more often!

if i remember correctly it's about 33hz..... used to use it quite a lot in Car audio SPL competitions. LOL

lol, sadly I just read the specs of the Corvette NT (I skipped doing this before in all the excitement) and discovered it won't be available as a 6-string... oh well, there's always hope for the Custom Shop. :D

I know the feeling ...NO 6 string models!! :twisted: Warwick is killing me with this.
- Warwick makes good 4 and 5 string basses................ and for an extra CS price, on some bass, you might be able to get a 6 stringer. :cry:

lets say I get a Corvette Standard 4 string in ash and string it with the proper gauge strings and tune BEAD....can I add a Taranis sticker or something to the headstock?

what makes the Taranis better than any other bass for down-tuning? (yes I know it has a different EQ than Standard active corvettes and a new kind of finish, still not enough for justifying a new model).

It has different pickups...
You might see it as an alternative to a FNA Jazzman...

As far as I'm concerned I'd much prefer a 35" scale for down-tuning...

I thought you could order any Warwick bolt-on model with either a 32", 34" or 35" scale...

Actually 30, 32, 34 or 35, but other than 34 it costs extra...
And I guess you'd have to wait for the bass to be made, same as a CS instrument!

I asked for my CS Streamer LX to have a 35" scale... Hope it'll be great !
